My  teaching philosophy is summed up in two words:  " Let's  Play ! "

I start off by asking the student what he or she wants to do with the guitar.

While I teach beginning students the fundamentals of sight reading music

and scales, the focus is on the type of music the student enjoys.

More experienced students learn the fundamentals of music theory while

playing the music they like.
