Bill performs all kinds of rock, blues, country, surf, bluegrass, and classical guitar. He is also a producer, songwriter, arranger and sound engineer, having produced several studio demos and recordings.

Bill has released two CD's:  Retrospective, a collection of some of his compositions as well as covers of popular songs, and PcN Onna Classics, which includes his composition "Duet in Memory of the Gettysburg Address", a work for classical and electric guitar.

Bill Dykes has been playing guitar for over 40 years. He graduated with honors from George Mason University's music program where he studied classical guitar with Larry Snitzler, one of Andres Segovia’s hand picked disciples.

Throughout his playing and teaching career, Mr. D has transmitted to hundreds the joy of playing guitar. Many of his students have gone on to advanced programs in music while others actively perform.

Bill has written two books used in his lessons: Mr. D's Very Beginner Book and  Mr. D's Blues Guitar Book.
